Costa Rica on Film

Costa Rica is by far my favorite place I have ever traveled to. Not only is it incredibly gorgeous, but the lifestyle and culture completely draws you in. You might take a first look and think that these people who live there are living in less than ideal situations, but the reality is they just aren’t huge consumers and very ecologically minded. They are happy with a simple and minimalistic lifestyle, and I am constantly finding myself craving that.
I visited Costa Rica with a travel group called EF College Break, and I would 100% recommend it. There was about 18 of us who traveled together for 10 days, and the trip took us all over the country. It was the perfect action-packed, adventure trip! When I arrived in Costa Rica I realized that I had left the SD card to my digital camera at home. The only other cameras I had brought were a film camera and the camera on my iphone. In the end I think it worked out for the best. One of the reasons I am so in love with this trip is the fact that I lived every single moment in reality. I wasn’t constantly hiding behind a lens. Because of this it ended up being one of the most memorable trips I have ever been on.
